That’s right!
Your very own resident Korea nerds Tasteless (Nick Plott, aka Day[9]’s brother) and Artosis (Dan Stemkoski) will be dual casting the GOM StarLeague.
The biggest StarCraft II Open to date, the first month of September will feature flown in foreigners (non-Koreans) and over $150,000.
Starting 9/6 and with $500,000+ prize pool set for 2010 alone, this will surely be an amazing on going tradition for StarCraft II.
Although the English website is not updated yet, streams should be provided free of charge (with premium streams and downloads costing extra) just like the previous GOM leagues.
In addition games will be hosted and uploaded to be streamed after they have been played.
Looking forward to some Korean play very soon.

Why not give YABOT (Yet Another Build Order Tester) a try?
YABOT simulates a starting match for the first 10 minutes of a game where you can practice an opening that is all your own (or steal someone else’s and try to keep up).
You can start the game and reset while you pick your race and a build order that you can follow (via objectives) and a build for your opponent as well.
It’s a great way to start figuring out what you can support off 1 base and practise your macro in a real setting.
Too many minerals? Add another gateway/expand/barracks/spine crawler.
Too much gas? Get an earlier upgrade or perhaps get gas later if you are mineral dependent at first.

Blizzard Entertainment’s partner GomTV revealed plans for an easily accessible worldwide league called the “Global StarCraft II League” (GSL). GomTV is planning on having monthly tournaments culminating in a main tournament and world championships for both the GSL 2010 and GSL 2011. Also, using GomTV’s global broadcasting service, everyone around the world will be able to watch the league live through the Internet or via smart phones.
The GSL will be held every month starting with an Open Starcraft II League with a total prize pool of 200,000,000 won (approximately 170,000 USD). GomTV will broadcast the games 5 days a week. That is an insane amount of StarCraft II.
However, with a prize pool of nearly half a million dollars (With Blizzard throwing support at it) it comes as no surprise.
Registration ends 8/22 and games begin 9/6. Source

SC2ranks.com has been keeping tabs on just about everyone playing StarCraft and the top players of North America come as no surprise.
Having all of this data of course helps to give insight into balance and position of the races.
It looks like playing the Terran campaign has brought a lot of Terrans into the lower leagues (43%), but only 30% in diamond. Additionally Terran’s lose the most in Bronze, but other than that irregularity all the races have balanced overall win rates.
Another statistic that I find interesting is that Korea seems to have forsaken Zerg. A noticeable difference of 3% (17.5 vs 20.5%) vs global average.

The last wait is possibly the worst yet. After 12 years the next hour might be the longest of all…
Players will have to deal with a length disc install time (Over 50 minutes on a fast rig), and longer on old computers.
However once you get past that most people can expect a solid 15 hours from the campaign the first run through, not to mention all of the challenge missions and revisiting for achievements (3 per mission).
Veterans with no care for the story or base building can try to bulldoze their way through in 8 hours for an achievement.
The box is solid with 4 guest passes, two for both WoW and SC II. WoW is a 10 day trial pass, while SC II is a 7 hour pass. Excellent for getting though 10 or so mission in the campaigns total 26, or playing some custom games online.
It’s been one hell of a ride. Go call in sick and get down for some gaming!
